Duskfall Legends

Classes

Factions

Every faction is a class led by one hero. When you build a deck you pick a hero first: the deck may then use that hero's faction cards plus any neutral card.

378 neutral cards fit into every deck. Faction cards are where each class finds its identity: its tribes, its tricks and its finishers.

Aldric, Knight-Commander

Ashen Crown

Hero: Aldric, Knight-Commander

The last commander of the Silver Bastion, still holding the line.

Playstyle

Aldric fights wide. His hero power adds a Squire to the board every turn, and his Human cards reward having many soldiers at once: buffs for the whole line, Guardians to hold it and banners that turn a crowd into an army. Keep the board full and trade efficiently.

Seraphine, Lightbinder

Pale Choir

Hero: Seraphine, Lightbinder

A priestess who weaves dawnlight into shields.

Playstyle

Seraphine wins the long game. Healing, shields and Celestial blessings keep her monsters and her hero alive while the opponent runs out of steam. Many of her cards grow stronger whenever you restore health, so every heal is also a threat.

Kaelen, Pyromancer

Drakmor

Hero: Kaelen, Pyromancer

An elven scholar who never learned when to stop.

Playstyle

Kaelen is the spell-slinger. His hero power pings for 1, his spells burn monsters and heroes alike, and his Elemental and Elf cards bring Flight, Arcane Power and spell triggers. Clear the board early, then burn the enemy hero out.

Costs 2 manaEmberDeal 1 damage.

Vex, Nightblade

Velvet Knives

Hero: Vex, Nightblade

Nobody hears Vex coming. Nobody hears much afterwards.

Playstyle

Vex strikes from the shadows. The dagger hero power means a fight every turn, and the Human and Goblin rogues of the Velvet Knives are cheap, evasive and full of combo effects: Veil to stay hidden, Chain bonuses for playing several cards in one turn, and Venom that finishes what the blade starts.

Theme tribes

Hero power

Costs 2 manaShivEquip a 1/2 dagger.

Thrag, Beastlord

Bloodfang

Hero: Thrag, Beastlord

An orc chieftain who runs with the pack.

Playstyle

Thrag is pure aggression. His hero power hits the enemy hero for 2 every turn, and his Beasts and Orcs charge in with Lunge, Pierce and Fury, getting stronger as the fight goes on. Pressure from the first turn and make the opponent react to you.

Theme tribes

Morwen, Gravecaller

Hollow Veil

Hero: Morwen, Gravecaller

She keeps the dead busy.

Playstyle

Costs 2 manaExhumeExile a random card from your graveyard. Summon a 1/1 Skeleton.

Grimhold, Ironwarden

Iron Deep

Hero: Grimhold, Ironwarden

A dwarven smith whose armor has never been dented.

Sylvara, Wildheart

Thornwild

Hero: Sylvara, Wildheart

The forest answers when she calls.

Playstyle

Nyx, Voidcaller

Abyssal Pact

Hero: Nyx, Voidcaller

Every pact has a price. She always pays.

Playstyle

Nyx pays in blood. Her hero power trades 2 health for a card, and her Demons hit hard for their cost but often demand a price: health, discards or sacrifices. Manage your life total carefully and bury the opponent under card advantage.

Theme tribes

Zephyr, Stormseer

Stormcallers

Hero: Zephyr, Stormseer

He reads the sky like a book.

Playstyle

Theme tribes

Isolde, Blood Countess

Crimson Court

Hero: Isolde, Blood Countess

Her court feasts every night. The guests rarely leave.

Maren, Drowned Queen

Drowned Court

Hero: Maren, Drowned Queen

She drowned with her kingdom. Now the tide answers to her.

Theme tribes

Costs 2 manaUndertowFreeze an enemy monster.

Ksarra, Hive Mother

Chitin Brood

Hero: Ksarra, Hive Mother

The hive has one mind, and it is always hungry.

Playstyle

Ksarra is the swarm. Her hero power damages a monster and hatches a Broodling if it dies, and her Insectoids lay eggs, multiply and devour. Flood the board with small bugs, then feed them to something enormous.

Theme tribes

Hero power

Costs 2 manaInfestDeal 1 damage to a monster. If it dies, summon a 1/1 Broodling.

Ixion, Starless Seer

Hollow Star

Hero: Ixion, Starless Seer

He stared into the dark between the stars. It stared back and told him everything.

Playstyle

Ixion bends minds. His hero power hits the enemy hero and puts the top card of their deck into the graveyard, and his Aberrations and Human cultists keep milling the opponent, shuffle strange cards into decks and transform whatever stands in their way. Win by attrition, or let the enemy's deck run dry.

Theme tribes

Hero power

Costs 2 manaStarless GazeDeal 1 damage to the enemy hero. Your opponent puts the top card of their deck into their graveyard.

Neutral cards

Neutral cards belong to no faction and can be played by every hero. They fill the gaps in a deck: removal, card draw, solid monsters and tribal support for whichever tribes your hero cares about.
